16 Bloomsbury Street

16 Bloomsbury street is an unusual office development in KempTown Brighton . The Building was previously a stable building for a 17th Century house which once stood on the adjoining site. The development involved the challenge of fitting a very high specification head office building inside the original walls. The building was designed to allow as much natural light as possible to come from above as there was very limited scope for new windows to be installed in the original walls. The building was completed in 2005 and is currently let to the National Health Service. The gross development value was £550,000. The building won the Sussex Heritage Trust award for Best Comercial Building 2008.
